Amazon Studios Orders Young Adult Drama ‘The Wilds’

Amazon Studios has picked up to series young adult drama pilot “The Wilds” from writer-executive producer Sarah Streicher (“Daredevil”) and ABC Signature Studios. Described as “part survival drama, part dystopic slumber party,” the series follows a group of teenage girls from very different backgrounds who survive a plane crash and are stranded on a deserted island.  

“The Wilds” is the second young adult themed drama Amazon has ordered in recent weeks, joining “Panic” from author and showrunner Lauren Oliver.
