‘American Princess’ Canceled at Lifetime

The Now Series Finale Aired on July 7th

Lifetime has opted against a second season of dramedy “American Princess.” Debuting on June 19, the series followed Amanda (Georgia Flood), an Upper East Side socialite, who runs off to join a Renaissance Faire after her wedding goes awry. Amanda’s storybook wedding plans are derailed when she discovers her fiancé is cheating on her, just hours before they are to be wed. Outraged, Amanda runs away from her own dream wedding in the countryside, only to find herself stranded in the middle of a Renaissance Faire with no phone and no way home. She soon discovers her outburst has made tabloid headlines and experiences a nervous breakdown, leading her to re-evaluate her life.

With the “American Princess” cancellation, Lifetime, which has shifted its focus to TV movies and docuseries, no longer has any scripted originals on its roster. Ten episodes in total of “American Princess” were produced. The now final episode aired on July 7th.
