Apple Gives Series Order to Octavia Spencer Drama ‘Are You Sleeping’

Ten Episodes Ordered

Apple has issued a 10-episode series order to “Are You Sleeping,” a psychological thriller starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer (“Hidden Figures,” “The Help”). It comes from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and the scripted venture of Peter Chernin’s Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

“Are You Sleeping” is based on the novel of the same name by Kathleen Barber, which questions the consequences when crime-solving plays out on a public stage. Spencer, Spellman, Hello Sunshine’s Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter, Chernin Entertainment’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo will executive produce “Are You Sleeping.” There’s no word yet from Apple on a premiere date.
