Apple TV+ Orders Drama ‘The Changeling’

Streamer Apple TV+ has ordered “The Changeling”, a new horror-themed drama described as a fairytale for grown-ups and based on the best-selling book of the same name by Victor LaValle. The series will star LaKeith Stanfield (“Judas and the Black Messiah”) and is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. Kelly Marcel will adapt the novel to screen, who recently wrote the script for the Disney+ movie “Cruella.” Marcel will also serve as showrunner for the project.

The series will be produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios and Annapurna. Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, Patrick Chu, and Ali Krug will executive produce on behalf of Annapurna. Matsoukas will executive produce through her De La Revolution Films, and Khaliah Neal will co-executive produce.

The number of episodes ordered for “The Changeling” has not been confirmed. It is expected to launch in 2023.
