  1. This was the winter finale for Once Upon a Time as well. It won’t be back until March. Perhaps for the final episodes? Remember when this show was strong in its first season that ABC decided to retire DEsperate Housewives? Well, now it is time to retire this show too and go back to the drawing board.

    • ABC is almost a complete mess. Dancing with the Stars is hanging in there…most of their higher rated sitcoms are aging. None of their new shows are working other than maybe Designated Survivor and that is only in DVR viewing.

      • Son of the Bronx thinks moving Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken to the 8PM hour of Sunday would be good and I agree. A more ballsy idea would be to shift Dancing with the Stars entirely to this night but of course that opens a can of worms on Monday night

      • And their higher-rated sitcoms were never all that highly rated in the first place, in spite of their huge PR campaign at the time…

Designated Survivor is borderline: at flop levels live and mediocre at live+3, with a huge DVR increase which is indicative of future continued erosion.

    • They should have retired it after season 2, so yes, much, much delayed “moving on”.

Incidentally those two disasters were part of the general renewal of flops committed by Channing Dungey upon starting at her job…

A disastrous night that was entirely avoidable.
