CBS Cancels Sitcom ‘Angel From Hell’

'2 Broke Girls' To Step Into the Thursday 9:30 P.M. Half-Hour

Not surprisingly, CBS has swung the axe on modestly rated Jane Lynch/Maggie Lawson sitcom “Angel From Hell.” “2 Broke Girls” will move into the Thursday 9:30 p.m. half-hour effective on Feb. 18, with a repeat of “The Big Bang Theory” filling the half-hour this week.

Debuting on Jan. 7, “Angel From Hell” was off to a questionable start before it even began when CBS delayed its original fall launch to midseason. Only five of the 13-ordered episodes have aired and there is no word when – or if – the remaining eight will be telecast. The most recent ratings for “Angel From Hell,” based on the Live + Same Day data, was 6.34 million viewers and a 1.4 rating/4 share in adults 18-49 on Feb. 4 (out of 7.95 million viewers and a 1.7/ 6 in the demo for lead-in “Mom”).
