CBS Extends Episode Order for Season 6 of ‘Elementary’

Now 21 Episodes in Total for Season 6

CBS has ordered eight additional episodes of detective drama “Elementary” ahead of the show’s sixth season premiere, which will bring the total to 21 for midseason. While there is no confirmed return date or time period at present, the soon-to-be absence of “Wisdom of the Crowd” in the Sunday 8 p.m. hour could be a possibility. CBS could also potentially slide “NCIS: Los Angeles” and Madam Secretary,” now airing in the Sunday 9-11 p.m. ET block, to Sunday from 8 to 10 p.m. into “Elementary.” Or, perhaps, “Elementary” could go into the Sunday 9 p.m. hour out of “NCIS: Los Angeles” (and into “Madam Secretary”). Stay tuned.

Debuting on Sept. 27, 2012, “Elementary” features Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson in this contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters.
