CBS Eyes ‘CSI’ Limited Series Revival

Proposed Series to Be Set in Las VEgas

CBS is looking to mark the 20th anniversary of its former “CSI” franchise with a new installment from writer Jason Tracey (“Elementary”), CBS TV Studios, and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. Series creator Anthony Zuiker is also reportedly in talks to be involved. The proposed new series would be set in Las Vegas and would series set in Las Vegas that would serve as a sequel to the original series.

Airing for 15 seasons, “CSI” ran from 2000-15, and spawned the spinoffs “CSI: Miami” (2002-12), “CSI: NY” (2004-13) and “CSI: Cyber” (2015-16). It originally starred William Peterson, Marg Helgenberger, Jorja Fox and George Eads, and it followed crime-scene investigators for the Las Vegas Police Department as they worked to solve crimes.
