CBS Greenlights Drama ‘Clarice’

Series Spun-Off from 1991 Theatrical 'Silence of the Lambs'

CBS has given a pilot commitment to ‘Clarice,” a new drama project produced by MGM written and executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. The logline: It’s 1993, a year after the events of the Oscar winning “The Silence of the Lambs.” “Clarice” is a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.

Secret Hideout’s Heather Kadin will also serve as an executive producer along with Aaron Baiers as co-executive producer. The project will be produced by MGM and CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout.
