Surprised that Dateline and 20/20 would go head to head with Prince memorials. NBC should have preempted Caught on Camera and aired Dateline at 8pm instead.

NBC said yesterday that Grimm will given 13 episodes only (to start) and be slated probably at mid season due to them having so many renewed shows and they haven’t even picked up new shows yet. I wonder what NBC Friday will look like in the Fall? Still think Mysteries of Laura will be a legit option.

I think Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken will be picked up. They are pretty compatible. Most compatible of the Friday bunch with LMS since that and Malibu country

MoL hasn’t been picked up yet, has it? If it does, I bet they leave it on Wednesdays. They have not had anything to come close it in ratings in that Wednesday slot, which I know is not saying much.

It hasn’t. But it did much better than Heartbeat is doing. They could leave it there but they have Chicago Justice coming. Only so many slots Tuesday/Wednesday unless they move something to Thursday with the blacklist.

I totally agree Louis. But NBC also needs an hour to air sitcoms and Wednesday at 8 p.m. could be it.

Wasn’t Blue Bloods are re-run by any chance?

NBC needs to air good shows and with Bob Greenblatt picking the shows, it’s highly unlikely. 🙁

Considering how poorly Heartbeat is doing, my guess is The Mysteries of Laura will be back.

I think maybe all the renewals plus the new show pick ups will mean that NBC is looking to cut down (or maybe cut out) reruns completely. Not sure if the work economically, but….

Reruns will always exist, but NBC has more returning shows than is seasons past. Now it must focus on beefing up sitcoms.

Why would they return more shows with the bad ratings they have?

I just don’t get it (except that it will guarantee another year of a big fat paycheck for Bob Greenblatt as the Dolans continue not to notice the stench of failure coming from their network’s ratings…)

It is of course economical suicide.

But then again, making that plethora of bad shows and then renewing them for years with no ratings is also suicidal… 🙁

how is it MORE compatible than either “Malibu Country” or “Cristela” — both of which deserved at least a second season.
