CBS Renews ‘Big Brother’ for Season 23

Let’s face it…this was probably the worst season creatively of veteran CBS competition “Big Brother” since that uneventful first edition 20 years ago. But the Nielsen ratings and social media interest held up and the Eye net has renewed the Julie Chen Moonves-hosted edition for its 23rd edition.

“Big Brother,” of course, follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and more than 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining Houseguest receiving the grand prize of $500,000.

The series is produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment in association with Endemol Shine North America.
