CBS Renews ‘CSI: Vegas’ For Season Two

Number of New Episodes Ordered Not Confirmed

CBS has greenlit reboot “CSI: Vegas” for a second season, with an unconfirmed number of new episodes. The first season, which significantly trailed NBC’s competing “Chicago PD”, ran for 10 episodes. The original series, “CSI”, ran on the Eye net for 15 seasons, from 2000 to 2015.

William Petersen only signed on to reprise his role as Gil Grissom in the first season of “CSI: Vegas.” He will not continue as an actor but will remain an executive producer for season two. It is uncertain if Jorja Fox will continue as Sara Sidle.

“CSI: Vegas” is produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and distributed internationally by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group. Executive producers for the series are Jason Tracey, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Anthony Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue, Craig O’Neill, William Petersen, Uta Briesewitz (initial episode only) and Cindy Chvatal.
