CBS Renews Freshman Comedy “B Positive” for the Full Season

5 Additional Episodes Ordered Bringing the Total to 13

These days, a full season episode ordered granted by a broadcast network is not necessarily 22 episodes. That said, CBS has renewed freshman Chuck Lorre sitcom “B Positive” for the remainder of this haphazard TV season. The news comes after just five episodes of the show have aired on CBS, with the series debuting on Nov. 5. And the order is for 5 additional episodes past the original 8 ordered, taking it to 13.

Created and inspired by Marco Pennette’s personal experience as a transplant recipient, “B Positive” stars Tom Middleditch plays Drew, a therapist and a newly divorced father who is faced with finding a kidney donor. When he runs into free-spirit Gina (Annaleigh Ashford), a rough-around-the-edges woman from his high school past, she is willing to give him one of her kidneys and ends up his roommate. The sitcoms airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET out of “Young Sheldon.”
