Cecily Strong Says Goodbye to ‘Saturday Night Live’ After 11 Seasons

During the “Weekend Update” portion of the December 17, 2022 edition of NBC’s “SNL” (“Saturday Night Live“), anchor Michael Che brought on trashy lady Cathy Anne (Cecily Strong) to recap the year of 2022.

She admitted she’ll soon finally be going to jail for her misdeeds, but she’ll be okay since she has friends there (pictures of recent “SNL” departures Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon).

Strong transitioned out of her Cathy Anne character to express her fond farewells to the show including to Colin Jost, her co-anchor during her brief stint at the Weekend Update desk in season 39 (2013-14).

Strong spent eleven seasons on “SNL”.
