‘Celebrity Name Game’ to Conclude After Three Seasons

Craig Ferguson Hosted Half-Hour was the Victim of Low Ratings

“Celebrity Name Game,” the syndicated game show from Debmar-Mercury and FremantleMedia North America, hosted by Craig Ferguson,” will not be returning for a fourth season. A victim of low ratings, ‘Celebrity Name Game” ranks last of the five first-run game shows, with a 1.3 household rating (through Nov. 20). First overall is “Family Feud” from Debmar-Mercury with a 6.6 rating, followed by CBS Television Distribution’s “Wheel of Fortune” (6.0) and “Jeopardy!” (5.7) and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” from Disney-ABC (1.6).

Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury, issued this statement: “We’re incredibly proud of “Celebrity Name Game” and grateful to the terrific fan base that has supported the show for three seasons. We thank everyone who has contributed to its run, including Craig Ferguson, the show’s extraordinary host who received two Daytime Emmy Awards in recognition of his talent, our amazing partners at FremantleMedia North America, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, their creative collaborators and the outstanding production team.”
