In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the theatrical release of the motion picture “Rhe Bodyguard”, ABC’s “American Music Awards 2017” paid tribute to its legendary award-winning soundtrack with Christina Aguilera performing four of its biggest hits — “I Will Always Love You”, “I Have Nothing”, “Run to You” and “I’m Every Woman” -/ which were originally sung by the movie’s star, the late Whitney Houston.
Aguilera’s take on Whitney Houston’s classic songs received mixed reaction on social media.

No shade whatsoever to Christina Aguilera bc my girl can SING but any dedication whatsoever to Whitney Houston shows that *no one* can really do her justice. 😶#AMAs

There's two types of people:
Those who appreciate music and true tributes to black artists.
And those who unfortunately thought that Christina Aguilera did a great job saluting Whitney Houston. #AMAs
