College Football 2024 Week 4 TV and Announcer Schedule

The No. 24 Fighting Illini take on the No. 22 Cornhuskers (Fox, Sep. 20 @ 8:00 p.m. ET). Illinois is off to its first 3-0 start since 2011, while Nebraska also has its first 3-0 mark since 2016. The Huskers ended a three-game slide against the Illini with a 20-7 verdict in 2023.

The No. 11 Trojans line up with the No. 18 Wolverines in a marquee Week 4 showing (CBS, Sep. 21 @ 3:30 p.m. ET). The schools last met in the Rose Bowl in 2007, with USC winning by 14 points, just as the Trojans did against the Wolverines in ‘The Granddaddy of Them All’ in 2004.

The No. 12 Utes introduce themselves to the No. 14 Cowboys (Fox, Sep. 21 @ 4:00 p.m. ET). Both sides are 3-0. Entering Week 4, Oklahoma State’s Alan Bowman ranked sixth nationally with 967 passing yards to go with eight touchdown throws. Utah won the Battle of the Brothers on Sep. 14.

The No. 6 Volunteers welcome the No. 15 Sooners to the SEC (ABC, Sep. 21 @ 7:30 p.m. ET). Entering Week 4, Tennessee boasted the nation’s top offense at 63.7 points per game, and ranked third allowing only 4.3 points per game. Oklahoma beat Tennessee in double overtime in 2015.

The Jaguars roar into this Sun Belt opener versus the Mountaineers. South Alabama scored the most points by an FBS team since 1991 and set a new school record by beating Northwestern State 87-10, despite a shortened fourth quarter, on Sept. 12.

8:00 PM: Edward Waters @ Benedict College (ESPN2)
Announcers: Tiffany Greene, Jay Walker
Edward Waters (1-2) seeks revenge on the road when it pays a visit to Benedict (0-2) in a battle of Tigers. In 2023, Benedict escaped Jacksonville, Fla., with a 34-0 triumph over host Edward Waters. Edward Waters is 1-0 in-conference this year.

The Cardinal begin their ACC era by squaring off against the Orange for the first time. Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord threw for at least 350 yards and four TDs in both wins this year, including a Sept. 7 decision against then-No. 23 Georgia Tech.

For just the second time in 15 years, Florida travels to play Mississippi State. Gators head coach Billy Napier finds himself on the hot seat amidst a 1-2 start for his squad. Kevin Coleman Jr. (MSST) has a touchdown catch in all three games in 2024.

The Jayhawks (1-2) line up against the Mountaineers (1-2). In 2022, Kansas achieved an ultra-rare 13-point overtime victory with a walk-off 86-yard pick-six from Cobee Bryant. Kansas running back Devin Neal scored three times in that contest.

The Bearcats host the Cougars. Cincinnati rides high after knocking off Miami (Ohio) 27-16 to capture the Victory Bell. Houston beat Rice in the Bayou Bucket Classic. Cincinnati edged past Houston 24-14 for a fourth straight series victory in 2023.

The Terrapins host the Wildcats. Maryland rallied from its first loss of 2024 by hitting the road for a 27-13 triumph over Virginia on Sept. 14. Billy Edwards Jr. (MD) has topped 250 yards passing with a pair of TD passes in all three 2024 outings.

The Dukes face the Tar Heels. North Carolina third-string quarterback Jacolby Criswell powered a 45-10 victory over North Carolina Central on Sept. 14. Criswell spent three years in Chapel Hill, transferred to Arkansas in 2023, then back to UNC.

The Owls open their American Athletic Conference slate on the road against the unbeaten Black Knights. Army made its AAC debut with a 24-7 victory over Florida Atlantic on Sept. 7. Army has won three in a row over Rice, with the last meeting in 2019.

The Wildcats (1-2) hope to draw momentum from a tough defeat when they host the Bobcats (2-1). Kentucky put a scare in then-No. 1 Georgia in Week 3, but fell to 0-2 in SEC play with a 13-12 loss. Kentucky won the last meeting with Ohio 20-3 in 2014.

3:30 PM: Georgia Tech @ (19) Louisville (ESPN2)

The No. 19 Cardinals clash with the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech improved to 3-1 behind Haynes King’s three TD passes in a 59-7 rout of VMI on Sept. 14. Louisville went 7-1 in ACC play last season, but fell to Florida State in the championship game.

The No. 10 Nittany Lions return to action against the Golden Flashes. Penn State fell two spots in the latest rankings despite winning both games prior to its bye. Nicholas Singleton (PSU) had 13 carries and scored in each win, totaling 233 yards.

3:30 PM: Rutgers @ Virginia Tech (ACCN)

The Hokies (2-1) make a stand against the Scarlet Knights (2-0). In 2023, Rutgers defeated Virginia Tech 35-16 in their first regular-season meeting in 20 years. Kyle Monangai rushed for 208 yards and three TDs as Rutgers beat Akron 49-17 on Sept. 7.

The Tigers trot into an American Athletic Conference opener against the Midshipmen. Memphis stands at 3-0 for the second straight season, and beat Navy 28-24 to achieve that feat Sept. 14, 2023. Memphis upset Florida State on Sept. 14 of 2024.
