Conan The Barbarian TV Series In Works At Netflix

Iconic Character was the Subject of Two Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies

Netflix has put in development an epic live-action series based on Conan, the iconic sword-and-sorcery character created by writer Robert E. Howard. A series based on Conan was in development at Amazon in 2018 and was the subject of two Arnold Schwarzenegger theatricals: “Conan the Barbarian” in 1982 and “Conan the Destroyer” in 1984 and a theatrical version in 2011 with Game of Thrones’ Jason Momoa in the title role.

The proposed series, which has not specific details, hails from Fredrik Malmberg and Mark Wheeler’s Pathfinder Media, and is part of a larger deal for the exclusive rights to the Conan library which is currently in the works between Netflix and Conan Properties International. The pair will serves as executive producers should the series move foerward.
