Dan and Roseanne Conner Discuss Sports and Concussions

During the first quarter of the marquee NBA matchup of the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, ABC debuted its new “Roseanne” promo featuring Dan Conner (John Goodman), believing he was watching football on TV, telling his wife Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) that when he had played that sport, any player who had a concussion went right back into the game. He commented, “It didn’t hurt any of us. There’s no long-term damage.

Roseanne replied, “Uh, Dan, you’re watching basketball.

“Roseanne,” the hit sitcom from 1988-97, returns to ABC on Tuesday, Mar. 27, 2018.
