‘Dance Moms’ Star Abby Lee Miller Pleads Guilty to Bankruptcy Claims

Sentencing to Take Place on October 11

Abby Lee Miller of “Dance Moms” fame has confessed to concealing roughly $755,000 during a Chapter 11 filing process. She also admitted to caching money in her luggage so that it would be undetected when she returned from a trip to Australia. She and her traveling companions stuffed $120,000 in cash into Ziploc bags, separating it into chunks less than $10,000, and then concealed the money in their suitcases.

“Events over the past several months have been extremely challenging for me, my family, my friends and most important, my students,”
Miller told the AP last week. “Because of this I made the very difficult decision to close the door on this chapter of my life by accepting responsibility for mistakes I have made along the way. I appreciate all the wonderful messages of support I’ve received from around the world and look forward to the future and getting back to my life’s work; helping young dancers fulfill their potential.”

Miller, who remains free on a $10,000 bond, will be sentenced on October 11.
