Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant Cast in Netflix Comedy ‘Santa Clarita Diet’

Single Camera Sitcom to Debut in 2017

Upcoming 2017 Netflix single camera sitcom “Santa Clarita Diet,” the tale of husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita, will feature Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant (“Justified”) in the lead roles. “Santa Clarita Diet” will follow Joel (Olyphant) and Sheila (Barrymore), who live a boring existence until Sheila goes through a change that sends “both their lives down a road of death and destruction — but in a good way.”

“Santa Clarita Diet” comes from Victor Fresco, who also created “Better Off Ted,” “Andy Richter Controls the Universe” and “Sean Saves the World.”
