E! Cancels ‘I Am Cait’

E! has opted against a third season of docuseries “I Am Cait,” which chronicled Caitlin Jenner coming to terms with her gender transition and the people surrounding her. Debuting on July 26, 2015 and recently nominated Outstanding Reality Series by the Television Critics Association, “I Am Caitlin” opened with an impressive 3.9 million viewers. But the ratings took a tumble in season two, dropping to just 750,000 for the second season opener.

Jenner, of course, is unlikely to fade into the sunset anytime soon. She will likely to continue to make appearances on E!’s flagship “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” with the 12th edition coming up later this month. And she will guest star on the upcoming third season of Amazon comedy “Transparent.”
