EPIX Renews ‘Get Shorty’ for Season 3

EPIX has greenlit dramedy “Get Shorty” for a third season, with an unconfirmed number of new episodes for 2019. Debuting on August 13, 2017 and loosely based on the 1990 Elmore Leonard novel and subsequent film, “Get Shorty” follows “Miles Daly, who works as muscle for a murderous crime ring in Nevada. For the sake of his daughter, he attempts to change professions and become a movie producer, laundering money through a Hollywood film. But instead of leaving the criminal world behind, he accidentally brings it with him to Los Angeles.” Daly ends up working with “Rick, a washed-up producer of low-quality films who becomes Miles’ partner and guide through the maze of Hollywood.

“Get Shorty” stars stars Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Lidio Porto, Megan Stevenson, Sean Bridgers, and Carolyn Dodd.
