Fox Announces Spring Premiere Dates

Upcoming New Series Include 'Making History,' 'Kicking & Screaming,' 'Shots Fired' and the Return of 'Prison Break'

Fox has announced the premiere dates for new comedy “Making History,” new reality series “Kicking & Screaming,” new event series “Shots Fired,” and the return of “Prison Break.”

“Making History” premieres Sunday, March 5 at 8:30 p.m. ET, and follows three friends from two different centuries as they try to balance the thrill of time travel with the mundane concerns of their everyday lives. “Kicking & Screaming,” which teams 10 expert survivalists with pampered partners to face the toughest challenges of their lives, debuts Thursday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET. Hannah Simone (“New Girl”) hosts. “Shots Fired,” which examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings in a small Southern town, launches Wednesday, March 22 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the spring premiere of “Empire.” And “Prison Break,” starring Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and Sarah Wayne Callies, returns on Tuesday, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET.

As previously announced, “24: Legacy” begins its two-night premiere event on Sunday, Feb. 5, following “Super Bowl LI” and continues Monday, Feb. 6. New police drama “APB” launches Monday, Feb. 6, following “24: Legacy.” And season Five of “Masterchef Junior” premieres Thursday, Feb. 9.

  1. I honestly have no clue how well Prison Break reboot will do. How well did it do beforehand? Slated at 9PM This is Us should easily beat it.

    • It was a modest hit with respectable demos. I am not convinced the return of Prison Break will do all that well.
