Freeform Cancels ‘Party of Five’ Reboot

Just 10 Episodes in Total Were Produced

Freeform has opted against a second season of the reboot of family drama “Party of Five.” From original series creators Amy Lippman and Chris Keyser, the drama wrapped its 10-episode freshman season in early March and was produced by Sony Pictures Television — the same studio that was behind Fox’s 1990s original.

The series featured Brandon Larracuente, Emily Tosta, Niko Guardado, and Elle Paris Legaspi as four of the five Acosta children who must navigate daily struggles after their parents are deported back to Mexico. The original “Party of Five” aired on Fox for six seasons. This reboot on Freeform produced on 10 episodes.
