In season-finale news, feel good “Undercover Boss” closed its abbreviated 11th season on CBS with 3.52 million viewers (#2) and a 0.3 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. ET. Chances are we will see more of “Undercover Boss” next season as time period filler. Next on the Eye net was “Magnum P.I.” (Viewers: #1, 5.05 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.4/ 3 at 9 p.m.), followed by “Blue Bloods” (Viewers: #1 for the night, 5.72 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.4/ 4 at 10 p.m.).
Tops for the evening in adults 18-49 was “WWE Friday Night Smackdown!” on Fox. See network averages above.
NBC’s “Dateline” (Viewers: #12, 3.36 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.4/ 3 from 9-11 p.m.) outdelivered ABC’s competing “20/20” Viewers: #3, 2.13 million; A18-49: #4, 0.3/ 3). But both newsmagazines, of course, are just taking up primetime space at this point.
ABC’s veteran “Shark Tank” opened the night with 3.53 million viewers (#1) and a 0.4/ 4 in adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. (#2), which was a notable advantage over “The Blacklist” on NBC (Viewers: #3, 2.91 million; A18-49: #4, 0.2/ 2). “The Blacklist” owes its still existence on NBC to its streaming interest.
The CW capped off the evening with the low-rated combination of reboots “Charmed” (Viewers: 406,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “”Dynasty” (Viewers: 291,000; A18-49: 0.0/ 0 at 9 p.m.). Both dramas, of course, are buried in last place.
