Game 6 of the “2017 American League Championship Series” between the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros propelled the sports cable channel FS1 to win Friday night overall on television. The telecast drew 8.225 million viewers on FS1, 269,000 viewers on Spanish-language network Fox Deportes and approximately 116,000 viewers on its streaming app Fox Sports Go.

Its FS1 audience was up 46 percent from the most recent ALCS Game 6 on FS1: Toronto at Kansas City in 2015 (5.626 million). But it was also down 15 percent from FS1’s NLCS Game 6 in 2016: L.A. Dodgers at Chicago Cubs (9.71 million) — still, FS1’s most-watched telecast ever in total viewers, as Oct. 20, 2017.

Yankees-Astros Game 6 peaked from 10:30-10:45 p.m. ET at 9.677 million viewers on FS1.

New York and Houston each earned a 16.5 local household rating and 29 share — as of Oct. 20, the best metered market rating ever on FS1 in both respective markets.
