Friday Ratings: ABC and Fox Share Modest Dominance

ABC led the night in total viewers as a result of newsmagazine “20/20”, which averaged 3.23 million viewers (#1 for the night) and a 0.4/ 4 rating/4 share in adults 18-49 #1t) in the Friday 9-11 p.m. ET block. “20/20” aired out of a repeat of “Shark Tank.”

Fox’s perennial “WWE Friday Night Smackdown” tied ABC for first for the evening in the demo rating, See network averages above. Needless to say, what can you really say when the top rating in adults 18-49 is a 0.4?

Elsewhere, CBS opened with flop competition series “Come Dance With Me” (Viewers: #2, 2.20 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.2/ 2 8 p.m.). It led into encore telecasts of “Magnum P.I.”, which was canceled by the Eye net but could be moving to NBC next season, and “Blue Bloods.”

The CW burned off original episodes of canceled reboots “Charmed” (Viewers: 383,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Dynasty” (Viewers: 238,000; A18-49: 0.0/ 0 at 9 p.m.). And NBC pared down “Dateline” to one hour (Viewers: #3, 2.07 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.3/ 3 at 8 p.m.) out of a repeat of “American Ninja Warrior.”
