Fast Affiliate Ratings

Total Viewers:
CBS: 5.02 million, ABC: 3.14, NBC: 2.66, Fox: 2.14, CW: 704,000

Adults 18-49:

Fox: 0.6 rating/5 share, ABC: 0.5/ 4, CBS: 0.4/ 4, NBC: 0.4/ 3, CW: 0.1/ 1

It was another typical network Friday. Translation: diluted audience interest. CBS topped the night in total viewers care of “Undercover Boss” (#2: 3.92 million; A18-49: #3, 0.4 rating/3 share at 8 p.m.), “Magnum P.I.” (Viewers: #1, 5.20 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.4/ 4 at 9 p.m.) and “Blue Bloods” (Viewers; #1 for the night: 5.93 million; A18-49: #1, 0.5/ 4 at 10 p.m.). But almost 6-million viewers for Tom Selleck’s “Blue Bloods” pales in comparison to the 15-million+ weekly million viewers in its heyday.

Fox, meanwhile, led the night in adults 18-49 care of “WWE Friday Night Smackdown!” See network averages above.

In the battle of the fading network newsmagazines, both NBC’s “Dateline” (Viewers: #2, 3.04 million; A18-48: #3t, 0.4/ 3) and ABC’s “20/20” (Viewers: #3, 2.72 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 3), each from 9-11 p.m. ET, demonstrate why two hours is one too many.

Elsewhere, ABC opened the night on a winning note care of “Shark Tank” (Viewers: 3.99 million; A18-49: 0.6/ 5 – tied with “Smackdown” on Fox. The CW featured “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (Viewers: #5, 914,000; A18-49: #5, 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.), which was just renewed for next season, and “Nancy Drew” (Viewers: #5, 495,000; A18-49: #5, 0.1/ 1 at p.m.). And NBC aired a repeat of “That’s My Jam” in the Friday 8 p.m. hour.
