FX’s Renews ‘Baskets’ for Season Two

New Season to Begin in Early 2017

FX has renewed recently introduced sitcom “Baskets” starring Zach Galifianakis for a second season, with an unconfirmed number of new episodes to begin airing in early 2017. Debuting on Jan. 16, “Baskets” focuses on Chip Baskets (Galifianakis) as he follows on his dream of being a French clown. Saddled with financial difficulties and facing an impenetrable language barrier, he moves back home to Bakersfield, California where he must confront his past while working as a rodeo clown and competing with his siblings for his mother’s (Louie Anderson) approval and affection.

“Baskets” was co-created by executive producers Jonathan Krisel, Louis C.K. and Zach Galifianakis. M. Blair Breard, Dave Becky, Marc Gurvitz and Andrea Pett-Joseph are also executive producers. The series is produced by FX Productions. It concludes season one on March 24.
