Hallmark Channel Renews ‘When Calls the Heart’ for Season 8

Hallmark Channel has renewed drama “When Calls the Heart” for an eighth season in 2021, with an unconfirmed number of new episodes. Series star Erin Krakow made the announcement herself during the season seven finale last night.

“From my heart and home to yours, I am thrilled to announce the all new Season 8 of ‘When Calls the Heart’ coming next year,” Krakow said in the video. “We can’t wait to see you back in Hope Valley.

“Debuting on January 11, 2014, “When Calls the Heart” tells the tale of Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher accustomed to her high-society life who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal-mining town in Western Canada. A total of 66 episodes of the series have been produced through this season.
