HBO Cancels Dark Comedy ‘Run’

Just Seven Episodes in Total Were Produced

HBO has opted against a second season of dark comedy “Run,” which followed a woman whose humdrum life is thrown upside down when she receives a text from her college sweetheart inviting her to drop everything and meet him in New York to fulfill the pact they made 17 years previously. It starred Merrit Wever, Domhnall Gleeson, Rich Summer, Archie Punjabi and Phobe Waller-Bridge, and it produced just seven episodes.

The now final episode of “Run” aired on May 24.
