How to shut down a laptop with a keyboard
There are a lot of ways to shut down your laptop or PC and you can do it using shortcuts with the keyboard, it does’t matter which types of keyboard you are using.
This method usually works when software isn’t responding properly anymore – so keep in mind which one works best for what problem!
On a Windows PC:
- To shut down your computer, press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds or until the computer shuts off.
- If you want to do a hard shutdown, unplug the power cord from the back of your PC or laptop.
