Football season officially begins on Thursday, September 8 with a Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams matchup as Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford go head-to-head at SoFi Stadium (8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock). However, the excitement really kicks off on Thursday, August 4 with the 2022 NFL Hall of Fame Game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Las Vegas Raiders at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Live coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. ET with Football Night in America on NBC and Peacock. The 2022 NFL Hall of Fame Game marks Jacksonville’s first appearance since 1995 when the franchise made its NFL debut. The Raiders will be competing in their fourth Hall of Fame game.

Second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are hoping to start a new chapter with Super Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson making his return to head coaching after being fired by the Eagles in 2020. The Jaguars, who finished 3-14 last season, also hired Press Taylor and Mike Campbell to serve as the new offensive and defensive coordinators. 34-year-old Taylor, the younger brother of Bengals coach Zac Taylor, was the Senior Offensive assistant for the Indianapolis Colts last season. Campbell served as Tampa Bay’s ILB coach the last 3 seasons and won a Super Bowl there.

Teams returning to training camp is one thing, but on Thursday night, there is an actual NFL game for the first time since Super Bowl 56. The league’s 2022 Hall of Fame Game kicks off the preseason and features the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders. This will be the Raiders’ fourth appearance in the game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium while the Jaguars return to the stadium for the first time since the franchise’s first NFL game. Here’s how to watch the NFL’s 2022 Hall of Fame Game.

When it comes to the 2022 Hall of Fame Game, the league will enshrine Oakland legends Cliff Branch and Richard Seymour and the Jaguars’ first-ever Hall of Fame inductee Tony Boselli. The Class of 2022 made the NFL’s decision fairly easy. Let’s look at what channels the 2022 Hall of Fame Game will be on.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Las Vegas Raiders Live

While fans won’t get to see several new players on the field, fans of both franchises will get to see the debut of their new head coaches. Although not their first destinations, the coaches are brand new to their respective teams.

The Raiders will see former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels call his first game for the Silver and Black while Super Bowl 52 champion Doug Pederson makes his debut for Jacksonville. This is also the first time the Jaguars and Raiders have gone head-to-head in the preseason.

While the Raiders have been stung early by the injury bug in training camp, Pederson and the Jaguars announced some key absences from the 2022 Hall of Fame Game after Tuesday’s practice. Second-year QB Trevor Lawrence will not take any snaps after Pederson was satisfied with his progress so far in training camp. Meanwhile, backup QB C.J.Beathard has been ailing from a groin injury since early June, thrusting Jake Luton into the starting spot tonight.

Furthermore, RBs Travis Etienne and James Robinson will also miss the first preseason game. Etienne missed practice on Tuesday due to an illness, and Pederson wants to proceed with caution following the running back’s Lisfranc injury. Nevertheless, early returns from training camp have been promising as Etienne has been a full participant.

Robinson continues to recover from his Achilles injury last season, opening the door for rookie RB Snoop Conner and veterans Ryquell Armstead and Mekhi Sargent in the 2022 Hall of Fame Game. Be ready for a night of celebration as the league ushers in the new season and prepares to enshrine the 2022 Hall of Fame Class on Saturday.

How to watch Jaguars vs Raiders Live without cable

You can access select NFL games without a cable subscription via streaming services like Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, YouTube TV, Paramount Plus, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock Premium, and NFL Sunday Ticket. You can also watch local NFL games with an HDTV antenna.

The 2022 NFL regular season begins on September 9. During the regular season, Sunday afternoon games with an NFC home team will air on Fox, and Sunday afternoon games with an AFC home team will air on CBS.

Meanwhile, Sunday Night Football airs on NBC, and Thursday Night Football will broadcast on NFL Network all season long. Select Thursday Night Football games will also be shown on Fox and streamed via Amazon Prime and Twitch Finally, Monday Night Football is on ESPN.

Additionally, you can stream all your local in-market games on your mobile device for free using the Yahoo Sports app or the NFL app.

Here’s a full roundup of all the services you can use to stream NFL games without cable.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime members can watch 11 “Thursday Night Football” games this season. The games will be simulcast on Fox and the NFL Network, and you can also see them on Amazon’s Twitch channel. (Starting in 2022, Amazon Prime will become the exclusive home for “NFL Thursday Night Football”; the games won’t be available on Fox and the NFL Network.)

The agreement, which covers 15 games next year, is part of a long-term deal that runs through 2032. Each game will also be televised free in the participating teams’ home markets. Amazon will also air one preseason game per year.

We expect that, like last year, Amazon will get one or two exclusive late-season games, and will show a wild-card playoff game that’s also on other networks.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on AT&T TV

AT&T is spinning off the company’s TV and video businesses, including DirecTV and AT&T TV, into a company called New DirecTV.

AT&T TV plans start at $70 per month for a package with about 65 channels. You can watch NFL games on all four broadcast networks—ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC—in most markets, plus ESPN. The only games you won’t get are the exclusive “Thursday Night Football” games on NFL Network.

There’s no longer an option, even with pricier plans, to get the NFL Network, NFL Red Zone, or NFL Sunday Ticket. However, AT&T TV subscribers can get NFLSundayTicket.TV if they are unable to get satellite where they live. With this service, you can stream live, out-of-market NFL regular season games every Sunday.

Meanwhile, AT&T TV Now and AT&T TV will soon be folded into a single brand called DirecTV Stream.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on FuboTV

The sports-centric FuboTV, one of the few places to watch NFL games in 4K with HDR (from Fox), costs $65 a month. With it, you get games on CBS, Fox, and NBC in many markets.

Thanks to a long-awaited deal with ESPN, FuboTV also gives you access to “Monday Night Football,” plus the NFL Network to stream “Thursday Night Football” games. (Some of those are also available on Amazon and Fox.)

NFL RedZone, with game highlights and replays from every Sunday game, can be added as part of FuboTV’s $11-per-month Sports Plus add-on pack.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on Hulu + Live TV

Priced at $65 per month, Hulu’s live TV service, called Hulu + Live TV, provides access to ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC local broadcasts in many markets.

You can also get CBS Sports, ESPN, and Fox Sports. But the big news for 2022 is that Hulu reached a deal for the NFL Network to be available on Hulu + Live TV. That’s important to sports fans, because the NFL Network has eight exclusive “Thursday Night Football” games that aren’t available on Amazon or Fox.

For an additional $10 per month, you can get a sports add-on pack that includes NFL RedZone, which includes 7 hours of “Sunday Night Football” action every Sunday afternoon, all season long.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on Network Apps

If you subscribe to a pay-TV service, you may be able to watch football when you’re on the go by using a network’s mobile app. The following apps all require authentication, meaning that you need to be a cable or satellite subscriber.

  • CBS Sports: In addition to those who get Paramount+, the network is letting “authenticated ” CBS viewers—meaning those who get CBS through a pay-TV service—stream games via the CBS Sports app, and online at
  • Fox Sports: The Fox TV Everywhere app offers live coverage of local-market games and regional sports networks. You can also access the games through most cable-style streaming services, such as FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV. You can watch NFL games via on your laptop or tablet and some streaming devices—including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku. You get access only to the channels in your TV lineup.
  • NBC Sports: NBC will stream every 2022 “Sunday Night Football” game live on and the NBC Sports App. Both require authentication that you have a cable, satellite, or live streaming TV subscription, and both will let you watch football on an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet, a computer, a Samsung smart TV, many streaming players, and Xbox game consoles. The games will also be available on NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service (see below).
  • WatchESPN: ESPN’s mobile app delivers “Monday Night Football,” along with shows such as “SportsCenter,” to your computer, smartphone, tablet, Xbox game console, and streaming players, including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Roku. The newer $5-a-month ESPN+ streaming service doesn’t have live “Monday Night Football” games, though they are coming in 2023. ESPN+ will have one exclusive game (a regular season international game) starting in the 2022 season.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on Sling TV

Sling TV is something of a mixed bag for football fans. Though it includes NBC, Fox, the NFL Network, and ESPN, it’s missing ABC and CBS. Also, you’ll need to subscribe to both the Blue (NBC, Fox, NFL Network) and Orange (ESPN) plans to get all the games. Each plan costs $35 a month, but you can get a combined plan for $50 a month.

Because Sling TV lacks CBS, you won’t get the AFC games that the network shows on Sunday afternoons. One bit of good news is that Sling has restored access to the NFL Network, and you can add NFL Red Zone as part of an $11-a-month Sports Extra add-on.

Jaguars vs Raiders Live on YouTube TV

After a price hike, YouTube TV now offers 70-plus channels for $65 per month. It includes all the major broadcast networks—ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC—plus the ESPN networks and Fox Sports. Last year YouTube TV added the NFL Network, plus the ability to add NFL RedZone in the Sports Plus tier for an additional $11 per month.

Also, YouTube TV now has a 4K HDR option, which costs an additional $10 a month for the first year. The company recently announced that it would have some Thursday night games in 4K this year.

NFL live streams for free

If you just want to watch on your phone, the Yahoo Sports app for iOS and Android gives away every NFL game that’s broadcast in your local TV market to your smartphone or tablet for free. Yes, that includes Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football. You can also sign into your NFL Game Pass subscription and stream it from the Yahoo app.

With one of our best TV antenna picks you can watch live. Or, you could make your own stream, with a service such as Channel Master or Tablo, connected to your antenna and a DVR box. This allows you to broadcast the stream — either live or recorded — to a set-top box, mobile device or computer just about anywhere in the world.

The cost varies depending on the HD antenna you get and the service you use, but the local channels themselves are free, and you wonꞌt have to jump through any NFL-sponsored hoops.
