Hulu Cancels Dramas ‘Harlots’ and ‘Reprisal’

Hulu has opted against a fourth season of period drama “Harlots,” which debuted in March 2017 and produced 24 episodes in total. Inspired by “The Covent Ladies” by British historian Hallie Rubenhold, “Harlots” focused on Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton), who ran a brothel in 18th-century London and struggles to secure a better future for her daughters amid an unpredictable environment. “Harlots” wrapped its third and final season on the streamer last August.

Additionally, Hulu has also canceled drama “Reprisal.” Premiering in December 2019, “Reprisal” followed “a relentless femme fatale who, after being left for dead, leads a vengeful campaign against a bombastic gang of gearheads. Ten episodes in total were produced in its one season.
