Hulu Renews ‘The Path’ and ‘The Mindy Project’

Digital Streamer Also Announces Second 'Triumph's Election Special'

Hulu has issued renewals to scripted drama “The Path” and scripted sitcom “The Mindy Project,” which joined the streaming service last September after a three season run on Fox. “The Path,” which follows a family at the center of a controversial cult as they struggle with relationships, faith and power, has been renewed for a second season. The first season finale is on May 25. And “The Mindy Project,” which concludes its current fourth season (and first on Hulu) on May 10, heads into season five. There is no confirmation on the number of new episodes ordered.

Hulu has also announced a second election special from Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog, voiced by comedian Robert Smigel, that will debut exclusively on the service later this year. “Triumph’s Election Special,” “The Mindy Project” and “The Path” join upcoming drama series “Shut Eye,” “Chance” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
