Joey Chestnut Wins Tenth Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Title, Sets New Record

It is the Super Bowl of competitive eating: the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island in Brooklyn, NY on July 4. Superstar eater Joey “Jaws” Chestnut continues to dominate the sport in 2017 earning his tenth contest title in 11 years (Matt Stonie won in 2015; placed third in 2017), and setting a new contest record of consuming 72 hot dogs and buns within ten minutes.

ESPN2 televised the event with Paul Page and Rich Shea as announcers. Shea continued his humorous hyperbolic style of analysis of the contest.
