Katie Couric to Guest Host ‘Jeopardy!’

Couric Will Step In Initially for One Week

Katie Couric has been signed to host syndicated mainstay “Jeopardy!” for one week, joining Ken Jennings as the second confirmed guest host following the passing of Alex Trebek. Trebek’s final broadcast is this Friday. Sony Pictures Television has not announced plans to name a permanent replacement for Trebek, opting instead for a series of interim guest hosts until a permanent replacement is named.

Trebek’s last “Jeopardy!” episode was originally planned on Christmas Day, but “due to anticipated preemptions” around the holidays, his final week of episodes was pushed back to offer a larger area for fans to tune in.
