Mariah Carey to Headline E! Docuseries ‘Mariah’s World’

Series to Follow the Musical Sensation Both On and Off Stage

E! has ordered an eight part docuseries called “Mariah World” that will focus on the life of singing sensation (and former “American Idol” judge) Mariah Carey both on and off stage. Bunim/Murray will produce the series, will follow Carey as she prepares for her wedding to businessman James Packer and for her upcoming “Sweet Sweet Fantasy” world tour.

“I refuse to call it a reality show,” Carey told the New York Times. “I thought it would be a good opportunity to kind of, like, show my personality and who I am, even though I feel like my real fans have an idea of who I am. A lot of people have misperceptions about this and that.”

“Mariah’s World” is expected to launch later this year.
