Memorable 2017 Edition of ‘Jeopardy’ Tournament of Champions Concludes

The two-week “Tournament of Champions” of 2017 of syndicated game show “Jeopardy” concluded with one of the show’s most notable (and, according to host Alex Trebek, “most fun”) championship final rounds on Nov. 16-17. The three finalists were New York City bartender Austin Rogers, Riverside, Calif. software engineer Alan Lin, and Los Angeles music executive Buzzy Cohen.

A key Daily Double in the category labeled ‘The Body Human’ was the turning point of the finals which ultimately led to determine the winner who won $250,000. Runner-up earned $100,000, third place $50,000.

“Jeopardy” briefly surged past fellow CBS Television Distribution daily game show “Wheel of Fortune” in the ratings in early October during the colorful Austin Rogers’ 12-day reign as champion which netted him a total of $411,000.
