Microsoft 365 Buying Guide: Which Version Should You Buy?

Microsoft 365 includes all the regular Office applications. But what plan should you go for, or would it be better to buy it.

Microsoft Office 365 Which version should you buy?

Microsoft Office 365 Key Selling Points: Unlimited access to Microsoft Office apps and free cloud storage via OneDrive. However, there are countless different Microsoft 365 subscriptions to choose from, so it can be difficult to know which one to choose. Depending on your usage, it may actually be better to purchase a one-time version of Microsoft Office.

First, the options are designed for individual consumers. There are three different options to choose from, with two levels of subscription prices for Microsoft 365, and one version of Office Home & Student 2019 you can buy. There is also a free version, especially for students and university staff.

Microsoft Office 365 Advantage:

The main advantage of Microsoft 365 is that you will get regular updates for as long as you are subscribed, without having to update from one version to another every few years.

You can also save your work on the cloud, like Google Docs. 

Microsoft also offers some advantages such as additional storage and cloud minutes Skype and free access to tablet devices and smartphones applications.

Differences: Microsoft 365 – Family vs Personal

Microsoft 365 contains two options: 1) Family (formerly Office 365 Home) and 2) Personal (formerly Office 365 Personal).

The main difference is that Microsoft 365 Family allows up to six users to use the software across multiple devices simultaneously, while a personal account is for a single user.

Also, keep in mind, if you’re a student, you can also qualify for a free Microsoft 365.

Office Home and Student 2019

If you prefer a one-time payment, Office Home and Student 2019 is the package for you. 

Microsoft 365 for students you do not have full access to mobile and tablet applications (anyone can still use them to view documents for free, just do not edit or create them),

There’s no built-in cloud storage, and you don’t have access to the full suite of Office programs included with Microsoft 365.

Office 365 Education – Free Options for Students

Office365 Education is a special version of Microsoft 365 for students, faculty, or staff at the university. Students and teachers can sign up for free web access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams but, you will need a university e-mail address or other evidence of your case to claim it.
