SUNDAY, AUGUST 13, 2017

What follows are the metered market household results by half-hour for Sunday, August 13, 2017:

Household Rating/Share
CBS: 3.4 rating/6 share, ABC: 2.6/ 5, NBC: 2.0/ 4, Fox: 1.0/ 2

Note: Comparisons to the year-ago evening are excluded since NBC aired the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Ratings Breakdown:
Note: Due to 2017 PGA Championship bleeding into primetime on the East Coast, the following metered market (overnight) household results for CBS will be adjusted and reissued.

Mirroring last year, annual “The Teen Choice” on Fox could not compete with a mere 1.2 rating/2 share in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that was equal to the year-ago telecast (on Sunday, July 31, 2016), which translated into 1.66 million viewers and a 0.5 rating/2 share in adults 18-49 (based on the Live + Same Day data). The strength of “The Teen Choice Awards,” of course, is a reflection of the interest in social media.

Tops among the entertainment-themed telecasts was “Big Brother” on CBS at an estimated 4.0/10, while an original installment of “The $100,000 Pyramid” (out of an encore telecast of “Celebrity Family Feud”) led the game shows on ABC, with a 2.7/ 5 at 10 p.m. Aside from “Steve Harvey’s Funderdome” on ABC (#2: 2.4/ 4 from 9-10 p.m.), the rest of the evening were repeat telecasts.
