Monday Final Nationals: ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season Premiere on ABC is Prime Time’s Most-Watched Telecast

ABC and NBC split leadership on this Monday night.

Dancing With The Stars” returned to ABC for its 22nd season premiere and was the night’s top telecast in total viewers, besting NBC’s “The Voice” by 1.24 million. On the downside, however, the series drew a season-premiere low in viewers and adults 18-49.

Not only did ABC outdraw NBC from 8-10 p.m. in total viewers, but from 10-11 p.m. as well: it was “Castle”, thanks to the “Dancing With The Stars” lead-in boost, over freshman drama “Blindspot”.

NBC placed first on Monday among key demos, especially in each half-hour in prime time.
