Monday Final Nationals: ESPN Rules Prime Time with Ole Miss-Florida State

ESPN was Monday’s top network, by far, thanks to Ole Miss vs. Florida State. Its total live audience (on TV and streaming) is 8.585 million average viewers. The game ranked seventh-best Labor Day night game on ESPN/ABC, and the ninth-best kickoff week game on ESPN/ABC on record. Also, ESPN’s stream of the final game of the weekend surpassed Sunday’s Fighting Irish-Longhorns’ thriller with an average minute audience of 231,000 viewers and a total of 854,000 unique viewers viewing 59.7 million minutes overall, setting new ESPN regular season college football streaming for the second time in consecutive nights.

“The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe” drew 2.269 million viewers and 1.347 million adults 18-49 across three Viacom networks (Comedy Central, Spike and TV Land). It was a significant drop from the most recent celebrity roast, Justin Bieber on Mar. 30, 2015 (only on Comedy Central; 4.399 million viewers, 3.25 million adults 18-49): down 48 percent in total viewers, down 58 percent in adults 18-49.
