Monday Final Ratings: Villanova’s Dominant Victory on Turner Sports Sinks Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship to its Least-Viewed To-Date

Villanova’s 79-62 win over Michigan in the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship on Monday night delivered an average minute audience of 16.5 million viewers across TBS, TNT, truTV and streaming platform NCAA March Madness Live. This marks a new viewer low for the event, falling lower than the previous record low of 17.1 million of UConn/Georgia Tech on CBS from 2004.

The three-cable network telecast peaked at a combined 17.9 million viewers in the 10-10:15 p.m. ET quarter hour, which was just prior to halftime.

Despite the comparative lows, the game still dominated the prime time TV landscape on the night.
