Monday Overnights: ‘American Ninja Warrior’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Conclude for the Season

There were two competing season finales last night: “American Ninja Warrior” on NBC (3.6 rating/6 share) and “So You Think You Can Dance” on Fox (2.1/ 4) from 8-10 p.m. ET. Both were close to year-ago levels and the likelihood of both returning next summer is positive.

On ABC, “Bachelor in Paradise,” which concludes for the season tonight, scored a 3.4/ 6 in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m., which trailed “American Ninja Warrior” by six percent.

Over at CBS, a half-hour fall preview special at 8:30 p.m. (#3: 3.1/ 5) led into a typically modest 1.9/ 3 for summer drama “Salvation” (#4), which has little to no chance of returning. And that led into a 2.4/ 4 (#1) for already renewed “Elementary” at 10 p.m.
