Monday Overnights: ‘The Good Doctor’ Leads ABC to Victory

Ratings Breakdown:
ABC topped this second Monday in January care of old faithful “The Bachelor” (4.0 rating/6 share from 8-10 p.m.) and freshman hit “The Good Doctor,” which topped the night at a 5.6/10 at 10 p.m. Comparably, “The Good Doctor” increased from “The Bachelor” by 40 percent.

Despite airing all repeats, CBS finished second with its line-up of “The Big Bang Theory” (#1: 5.1/ 8), an 8:30 p.m. edition of “Kevin Can Wait” (#2: 3.5/ 5), a Monday 9 p.m. edition of “Young Sheldon” (#1” 4.0/ 6), “Superior Donuts” at 9:30 p.m. (#2: 3.0/ 5) and a Monday 10 p.m. installment of “S.W.A.T.” (#2: 2.4/ 4). Comparably, the “S.W.A.T.” encore bested an original edition of NBC’s waiting-to-be canceled “The Brave” (#3: 2.0/ 3) by 20 percent.

Earlier in the evening on NBC was game show “The Wall” (#3: 3.3/ 5 at 8 p.m.) into a 2.7/ 4 for the sophomore season of comical reality series “Better Late Than Never” (#3: 2.8/ 4 at 9 p.m.).

Elsewhere, Fox populated the evening with repeats of dramas “The Gifted” (#5: 1.5/ 2) and “Lucifer” (#5: 1.0/ 2). And The CW aired encores of “Supergirl” (#5: 0.7/ 1) and a Monday 9 p.m. edition of “Arrow” (#5: 0.5/ 1).
