Monday Overnights: Modest Start for ‘The Fix’ on ABC

Ratings Breakdown:
NBC opened the week on another winning household overnight note thanks to “The Voice” (#1 for the evening: 6.8 rating/11 share from 8-10 p.m. ET), which bested competing “American Idol” on ABC (4.1/ 7) by a hefty 66 percent. Year-to-year, “American Idol” decreased by 18 percent.

In series-premiere news, ABC legal drama “The Fix” got off to a modest start with a second-place 3.4/ 6 in the 10 p.m. hour. Although that was 10 percent above competing “The Enemy Within” (#3: 3.1/ 6) on NBC, it was 28 percent below “Bull” on CBS (#1: 4.7/ 8). Since most new series drop 10 to 20 percent in week two, no one at ABC should pleased over these debut overnights for “The Fix.”

In return series news, Fox drama “9-1-1” scored a second-place 4.4/ 8 in households in the 9 p.m. hour, which was 13 percent above lead-in “The Resident” (#3: 3.9/ 7 at 8 p.m.).

Elsewhere, The CW was barely visible with dramas “Arrow” (#5: 0.9/ 2 at 8 p.m.) and “Black Lightning” (#5: 0/7 1 at 9 p.m.). And CBS was in repeats from 8-10 p.m.
