Monday Overnights: NBC’s ‘The Enemy Within’ Consistent in Week 2

'The Voice' Leads NBC to More Opening Week Victory

Monday, March 4, 2019

Household Rating/Share
NBC: 6.0/10, ABC: 5.2/ 9, CBS: 3.5/ 6, Fox: 3.1/ 5, CW: 0.7/ 1

Percent Change From the Year-Ago Evening:
Fox: +19, NBC: no change, CBS: – 5, ABC: – 9, CW: -12

Ratings Breakdown:
NBC remains the dominant network on Monday thanks to “The Voice,” which scored a solid 7.2 rating/12 share in households from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that was 36 percent above ABC’s competing “The Bachelor” (5.3/ 9). Both franchises were consistent from year-ago levels.

On another potentially positive note for NBC was week two of drama “The Enemy Within,” which was flat from its week-ago opener with a 3.8/ 7 in the overnight households at 10 p.m. While part of that consistency could stem from CBS competing with an encore telecast of “Bull” (#3: 3.2/ 6), keep in mind that most new shows drop 10 to 20 percent in week two.

Tops at 10 p.m. was ABC’s already renewed “The Good Doctor” at a 4.9/ 9.
