Ratings Breakdown:
ABC scored a clean sweep in the Monday overnights thanks to its combination of the next-to-last episode of “Dancing With the Stars” (7.0 rating/11 share from 8-10 p.m. ET) and bona fide freshman hit “The Good Doctor” (6.6/11 at 10 p.m.). One year earlier, short-lived ABC drama “Conviction” only scored a 3.1/ 5 in the Monday 10 p.m. hour. Combined, “The Good Doctor” equaled competing “Scorpion” on CBS (#2: 3.5/ 6) and struggling “The Brave” on NBC (3.1/ 5).

On NBC, “The Voice” remained on the overnight map with a consistent 5.8/ 9 from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that was equal to the year-ago evening. And next was CBS with its modest third-place 8-10 p.m. combination of sitcoms “Kevin Can Wait” (4.1/ 7), “Man With a Plan” (3.5/ 6), “Superior Donuts” (3.5/ 5) and “9JKL” (3.0/ 5). Comparably, “9JKL” was on par with year-ago time period occupant “The Odd Couple.”

Elsewhere, “Lucifer” on Fox (#4: 2.4/ 4 at 8 p.m.) led into a 2.1/ 3 (#4) for newbie “The Gifted” at 9 p.m. And “Supergirl” on The CW (#5: 1.4/ 4) led into a typically modest 0.6/ 1 for military drama “Valor” at 9 p.m. (#5). There is no word at present on the fate of “Valor” past the initial 13 episodes.
